Birth of the Moon Bird
Oil on canvas, 48" X 48".
The crest of the wave of the 60's. Painted in Seattle, December of 1966 as the energy of the 60's was intensifying, this painting was inspired by a profound dream. A goddess figure rose up out of the water, her body-dress transformed and changed like the seasons. The bird image will later re-emerge as an important element in the Cosmo Tarot.
Reaching for the Sky
Oils on canvas, 1966
Heart and the Inner Ocean
Oils on canvas, 92 x 70, 1968
This is the largest painting I ever made. I still remember how it was when I stood in front of that huge white canvas, at first I did not know what to do. There were so many possibilities. I just let myself move, like a dance it came from deeper levels of my being, out of the unknown inner world. It seemed natural to start with a big heart in the center. This painting was done when I still lived in Seattle, before I moved to the east coast in 1970. I left it in the care of my ex boyfriend. He placed it in a bar down in the lower part of downtown Seattle, near where we had built a loft in the Cadillac Hotel. On a visit back there one year I retrieved it, the people who had it were unhappy about it, but I felt it was best to get it back. When I painted it I was at the time learning about chakras, so in a way it is an early Heart Chakra painting.
Inner Eye Moon
This picture is made from an old slide, so the colors are a bit subdued. Oils on canvas, around 5' x 5'.
7 Chakras Wheel
acrylic on canvas, 1968
The seven chakras are all represented as concentric rings in this painting. It is one of my first chakra paintings. The second chakra has become blended and is a liquid swirling rainbow, to go with the water element .
Fire and Water
Oils on canvas, 47" X 70" 1965.
Begun on a hot summer day, Seattle, 1965. This image later inspired the Temperance card in the Cosmo Tarot.
Song of the Expanding Heart (Geometric)
Acrylics on canvas, 44" X 50" 1968.
Painted in Seattle, 1968. One of a series of geometrics. The heart and jewel theme appears later in the my Astrotaro deck.
Shamanic Dream

The blackberry patch in the backyard becomes electric.
Tree of Light

The power of the sun is transformed by the living plant world, energy flows through the branches of the tree, and is electric.
Whispering Woods
A large oil painting on canvas. I worked on this one over a long period of time, at least 6 months, 1965-6 The inspiration was a patch of trees growing outside my studio. They seem to flow and sing in the wind.
