Sunlight Love is a new version derived from Wild Magic series. Wild Magic was an offshoot of Inner Truth, and Inner Truth is the straightforward photo negative inversions of the Original Version Illuminated Tarot. I was inspired by one experimental card that I had painted previously, a 5 of cups, very heavily painted and very mystic and moody. I wanted to go there, and create a whole deck with that level of transformation and energy. There are no accidents. One day I asked my printer to print a set of Wild Magic but to increase the saturation a lot. I wanted to see how it would come out. It was extreme. I decided to take these prints, which included the full deck, and paint into them to see where it would go. I worked on this for a long time, starting in late winter, and going through into summer. The paintings were on my work table for months, as the summer got hotter, I would just sit there painting. I would walk past my painting table, to go take a nap and never got past the table. I just painted and painted. I got up my courage and went further and further. I sat there into the last light of the day, watching sunsets, bringing in those colors. In previous summers I made a series of hand painted decks, including SummerStar, but this year, 2026, it was just this one deck. So a lot of energy went into it. That original first hand painted set was eventually glittered, and it now lives in Australia. I sold it. But before glittering I made sure I had good digital pictures of it so I could reproduce it if I wanted to. Did that. And in that process I was able to magnify the images and refine details I could not get to with painting. I have Sunlight Love available both extra large borderless and large with titles and white borders, which can also be cut borderless to make a bit smaller size borderless deck. I can print on the thicker 100# cards stock or go down the 80# which gives a more easily shuffled deck. I make decks for the most part on request, although at any one time I may have a few sets of prints to make decks in the drawer. If I have the time for it I can make custom orders for this deck with iridescent and or glitter, ask me if that is possible.
