Lyme disease is a true epidemic disease that has affected millions of people in the northeast of the USA, and has already spread to other USA areas and to other parts of the world. I am not going into detail of what Lyme disease is about, other than it is an escaped bio-warfare agent that can severely debilitate the human body and cause a lot of suffering. There are plenty of websites where you can find more information. Several years ago I got a small red rash on the back of my right knee. I thought it was a reaction from brushing to poisonous ivy. Then the rash started to grow bigger. I still didn't think much of it. The inflammation might have been the result of the folding of my leg. After two weeks I had grown about three inches wide. Wondering what else it might have been, I looked around on Google Images. I came across similar rashes that were the result of Lyme. The typical rash of a tick bite with Lyme infection is the so-called bull's eye. But not everybody has this. Some people, like me, only get a reddish rash. Others don't get a rash at all. OK, I had Lyme. Two weeks had already passed. So the Lyme bacteria had plenty of time to spread, not only on the back of my knee, but once in the blood stream, they can take the high way all over the body, as blood takes only seven minutes to traverse the entire body. At that time I was showing the first signs of Lyme. The Lyme bacteria can go anywhere, but like to hang out in the joints. On my knee I had a spot that by itself was not painful, but when I pressed on it, I felt an annoying, raw pain. This is (beginning) destruction of the cartilage. I had similar spots on both shoulders and along different vertebra on my spine. I didn't do what most people do: be terrible afraid and run to the doctor. I searched the internet and informed myself what Lyme Disease is and what conventional treatment is about. Doctors will give you strong antibiotics, usually doxycycline, amoxicillin or cefuroxime axetil. You take it for one month, and you are considered cured. Doctors really don't keep up with reality, and don't like to admit that they can't really help you. Reality is quite different. First, most Lyme strains have become resistant to the antibiotics. Second, when the antibiotics do work, the Lyme bacteria changes form and hides in inaccessible places in the body, especially in the joints. So, after one month, you are free of symptoms, but the Lyme is still there. It will come out of hibernation at a later time and start affecting your body. Doctors will not attribute these symptoms to Lyme, because they believe that Lyme has been eradicated. I have also read stories of people who had severe symptoms that they believed were Lyme symptoms and asked their doctor for a Lyme test. Their doctor would steadfast refuse it because he believed that they did not have Lyme, because they did not live in the northeast of the USA. Doctors don't seem to understand that ticks live on deer, but also on birds and rodents, who migrate to distant places. Years of suffering go by, and the person decided to go to another doctor who is willing to do a test, and it turned out positive. So, I found out that antibiotics don't really cure, but kill the bacteria only for a month. By the way antibiotics are not good for your health as they can have adverse effects on your immune system. We need a good functioning immune system for fighting pathogenic microbes. I searched the internet for what other people have successfully used as alternative treatments. In the first place, you need to understand, once you have the Lyme bacteria in your body, you will never totally get rid of them. You will have them for life. That is not so surprising, as this is the case for other kind of bacteria and viruses. They have been around for millions of years, so they know how to survive, and hide. All you can do is to constantly kill them when they emerge from their hibernation. In other words, to daily take your alternative medicine. People have taken different remedies successfully to combat Lyme, to keep themselves free of symptoms. I found that a lot of Lyme-people take MMS, so I tried that (read more on MMS in my article of How to Heal Yourself Quickly, Cheaply and Effectively). Within one week I was free of symptoms. In the first week or two I took it three times a day (I worked up to five drops). After that I took three drops once a day to prevent any outbreak. After about two years I was slacking off on my regime, and I went a week without taking any MMS. That was a mistake, because when I took my next dose, my right knee began to swell up. What happens is that the Lyme bacteria in the knee joint came out of hibernation, multiplied and spread in my knee, and then they all got suddenly killed my my next dose of MMS. When they die, they release a toxin that the body has difficulty to remove, so the body's automatic reaction is to encapsulate the toxins with water. The it will slowly try to remove the toxins. The swelling of my knee was not painful by itself. But after about a week, I could not walk on that leg, and had to resort to crutches. After about a month the swelling was gone. Not especially pleasant, but there was no pain involved. After some months I slacked off again, and this time my right ankle swelled up. Crutches again, and I let it come and go. A third time I slacked off, and this time my entire lower left leg swelled up badly. This lasted for three months. Now I really learned my lesson. Since that time, I have taken my MMS drops every day. A couple of months ago I started to take MMS every other day, and that seems to work too. I haven't had any swollen joints. The days in between I take natural turpentine, which helps for another ailment I have, but it will also help to kill the Lyme bacteria. There are other natural products that can kill Lyme bacteria. You can explore natural turpentine by reading my article of Healing with Turpentine. I have heard that Stevia is also very effective. If you do a search on the internet I would suggest to disregard a lot of website that give you a list of remedies that 'might' work. They are often put up there by Big Pharma to inundate you with ineffective and confusing information. It is far better to look for those websites, pages, or bulletin boards of people who have actually healed themselves by using certain remedies. Then you can feel for yourself to what you are the most attracted, or just try them out. Stay away from anything expensive. Most natural treatments are cheap. |
